Cinema Support

31st December 2009 I started supporting cinemas first Oban cinema Scotland that have suffered financially due to public tightening finances and cost of travel.

Ownership

The best way forward for cinemas is to be owned by the film industry or joint owned by film industry and local public, one example is Oban cinema in Scotland where the film I shot the local Scottish scenery title Macbeth's Disciple was the last short film screened, Oban cinema has attracted support from film stars some I know and worked with, but it is not just film stars supporting along with locals, in the "Mull of Kintyre" Campbeltown Scotland the picture house has been saved from closure on at least two occasions by music superstar Sir Paul McCartney (I am a fan).

Future Generations

The big screens in cinemas are what are missed when cinemas close, the big screens in cinemas is what future generations will not get experience of should cinemas continue to close.

Production Companies use Cinemas

I have always said film production companies could used cinemas when on locations to boost income that would save many from closure, I plan to in the future.

Your Support Much Needed

Cinemas can be saved and must be saved. Please support and thank you for supporting. See my support letter in Oban Times Scotland local news paper 31st December 2009.
